San Francisco Holistic FYRE HOOPshop 8/24

When: WED., AUGUST 24th, 2005
7p.m.-10p.m.

Where: at the AIDS MEMORIAL GROVE in GOLDEN GATE PARK
in SF
(directions: going west on Fell Street, take the 3rd
lane from the left (lane 3) directly into Golden Gate
Park, make a Left at the first stop sign, then left at
the next first stop sign, the pathway to the Aids
Memorial Grove is on the right, park and walk down to
the Grove’s stone circle bench.)

What: The Holisitic FYRE HOOPshop will be conducted
in three parts:
Part 1: (7-8:30p.m.) Regular HOOPshop (this part is
available to non-fire students for a reduced fee,
check cost below)
Our HOOPshop commences with a sacred fire meditation
leading into some hoop yoga and a hoop trance dance
session that focuses on the hoop skills you already
have. With the intention to increase fluid motion
within the hoop and awareness of hoop placement on the
body, our work with the regular hoops will prepare you
for fire awareness.
Part 2: (8:30-9p.m.)
We will take a break and then move into the fire
safety section of the class. We will focus on fire
safety issues, dipping station protocol, laws and
regulations, insurance, fuels, costume considerations,
and other pertinent info needed to approach a firehoop
with consciousness and respect.
Part 3: (9-10p.m.)
By now, each student will be prepared to enter the
center of the Ring of Fyre. We will all have the
sacred honor of spinning the fyrehoop and witnessing
personal transformation right before our very eyes!

was all-around ecstatic after their first fyre hoop

Cost: for 3-hour workshop (firehoop)

$55 drop-in rate

for first hour and a half (regular hoop)

(I am open to other energy exchanges as well, just

With Burning Man quickly approaching…
One can learn how to firehoop, or improve one’s
firehoop skills, or expand one’s firehoop trick
repertoire…
And also learn the in’s and out’s of firehoop safety
on the Playa…
costuming, fuel containment, dust on tools, the wind
factor, etc.


Bring: your hoop(s), water, a head wrap, and
comfortable flame-retardant clothing (100% fabrics
like cotton, silk, hemp, suede, and leather are best,
no synthetic/blends).
